Biography
Mustafizur Rahman (born 6 September 1995) is a Bangladeshi cricketer known for his lethal cutters and slower balls. A left-arm fast-medium bowler, he burst onto the international scene in 2015 with a stunning debut, taking 5 wickets against India in a T20I.
Born in Satkhira, Mustafizur made his international debut in 2015. On his ODI debut against India, he took 5-50, becoming the first Bangladeshi bowler to take a five-wicket haul on ODI debut. He followed this with 6-46 in the next match, setting a record for the best bowling figures by a bowler in their first two ODIs.
His ability to bowl accurate cutters and use the slower ball has made him one of the most effective death-overs bowlers in the world. He has been a regular in the IPL (playing for Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Chennai Super Kings), and in various other T20 leagues.
Despite injury setbacks, Mustafizur has remained Bangladesh's most dangerous bowler in limited-overs cricket and has been crucial to the team's success in ICC tournaments.
